What is a Budget Plan?
Our Budget Plan is a free billing option that evens out your energy costs throughout the year. Instead of higher bills in winter and lower ones in summer, your annual energy costs are divided into 12 equal monthly payments. Most residential and small commercial customers in good financial standing are eligible to enroll.
How Your Monthly Payment is Calculated:
- Your Usage History – We look at the past 12 months of natural gas usage at your home or business.
- Weather Forecasting – We assume normal weather over the 12 months.
- Natural Gas Costs – We include anticipated or predicted gas prices in the calculation.
Your estimated annual cost is then divided by 12 months to create your consistent monthly payment.
Staying On Track
To avoid large overpayments or balance due, we review your account at least twice a year and may adjust your payment amount based on weather, updated energy prices or your deferred balance. If your payment amount is changed, you will be notified.
Enrollment Details
- Your account must be current to enroll.
- If you have a credit balance, we recommend using it before joining.
- You can enroll in or cancel the Budget Plan at any time.
Important:
If you miss two consecutive payments, you’ll be automatically removed from the plan.
